About the Training
This interactive, in-person certification workshop is designed for early childhood educators working in traditional programs, specialized education settings, Montessori schools, childcare environments, and for parents and caregivers supporting children from birth to six years old.
Participants will learn to apply the principles and tools of Positive Discipline, an Adlerian, research-based approach, to working with groups of young children. The training explores how young children learn, the importance of belonging, and the development of social and emotional skills that support healthy growth and school readiness.
Upon completion, participants earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Early Childhood Educator.
What You Will Learn
•How to create classroom and care environments that foster belonging and significance through contribution and mutual respect
•How young children learn and how to adapt teaching practices to meet developmental needs
•How to foster essential social and emotional skills in group settings
•How to understand behavior as communication and guide it respectfully
•How to teach developmentally appropriate participation in class meetings
•How to apply Positive Discipline and Adlerian concepts in the classroom, preschool community, and in partnership with parents

Yogi Patel is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, an Empowering People in the Workplace Master Trainer, and the Founder of two Montessori schools. With over 20 years of experience as a school leader, educator, and parent educator, Yogi brings a deeply practical and relationship-centered approach to early childhood education.
Her work is grounded in Adlerian psychology, Positive Discipline, and Montessori principles, supporting educators in building classrooms rooted in belonging, emotional regulation, and purposeful learning.
